Bali, Indonesia has been a popular destination for people around the world! Whether you are looking for outdoor adventures, culture and food exploration, or simply just a relaxing vacation, there are many options for you to choose and enjoy.
When’s the best time to visit?
Unlike most places around the world, Bali doesn’t have Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter, there’s only Dry or Wet Season. Dry season in Bali starts between end of April to October - also the best time to visit. If possible, I would avoid July/August as that’s the peak time, with most tourists, and flights and hotels are also more expensive.
Traffic in Bali
I would highly recommend for you to hire a private driver to tour around Bali, prices are relatively affordable, ranging from $30-50 USD a day, or you can also rent a motorbike to explore on your own.
Where to stay in Bali?
If this is your first time traveling to Bali, I highly recommend for you to do a split stay between 2 - 3 areas. Ubud, Jimbaran, and Seminyak are some of the most popular areas for tourists to stay.
You can find all types of accommodation, there are plenty of airbnb, private villas for rent, all levels of hotels and resorts, the options are endless, so is the price range. You can find affordable and clean stay throughout your trip without overspending, and also ultra luxury resorts if you want to spend a little extra. I’ll include a few of my favorite properties in Bali below:
There are a few islands off the coast of Bali, including Gili Trawangan, Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida, Komodo National Park, etc… You can do day trips or even stay overnight in a few of these islands to enjoy water sports activities or explore the islands by motorbike/with a local guide.
